The Problem

Most of the energy in the world is provided from fosil fuels, coal alone produces half the electrical energy needed to power up the united states. The problem is not only that it`s a limited resource of energy, but that to make ir generate power it has to be burned releasing a very large amount of polutants to the atmosphere.

Methodology

- We need to create a campaign to let the people know the advantages of altenative energy resources.

- with the goverments help, people should be given intruccions and ways of adapting their houses to the new energy sources.

- we need to motivate people by lettign them know that we are not doing this for ourselves, but for our children.

Engineering Solution

We are planning to solve the problem by promoting the use of alterntive energy sources that do not polute the planet, by using an alternative source of energy not only are you helping the planet, but also yourself, having a wind mill, solar panel or watermill at home could considerably reduce your electric bill, saving you thousnads of dollars over the years.

Henry is the person that I look up to in my career:

Henry Ford (July 30, 1863 – April 7, 1947) was the American founder of the Ford Motor Company and father of modern assembly lines used in mass production. His introduction of the Model T automobile revolutionized transportation and American industry. He was a prolific inventor and was awarded 161 U.S. patents. As owner of the Ford Company he became one of the richest and best-known people in the world. He is credited with "Fordism", that is, the mass production of large numbers of inexpensive automobiles using the assembly line, coupled with high wages for his workers. Ford had a global vision, with consumerism as the key to peace. Ford did not believe in accountants; he amassed one of the world's largest fortunes without ever having his company audited under his administration. Henry Ford's intense commitment to lowering costs resulted in many technical and business innovations, including a franchise system that put a dealership in every city in North America, and in major cities on six continents. Ford left most of his vast wealth to the Ford Foundation but arranged for his family to control the company permanently.

About Myself

Hello, people!!!  My name's graisy. I'm studying Industrial Engineering at URBE. I really love soccer, my favorite team is Real Madrid. Also I like to play soccer. I like to hang out with my friends, I enjoy watching TV series specially Two and a half men and Smallville. The thing that I don't really like is all about politics. Nissan to slash 20,000 jobs and sees annual loss

TOKYO – Nissan is slashing 20,000 jobs, or 8.5 percent of its global work force, to cope with what Japan's third-largest automaker expects will be its first annual loss in nine years.
"The global auto industry is in turmoil, and Nissan is no exception," Chief Executive Carlos Ghosn told reporters Monday in Tokyo.
Nissan Motor Co. now expects a 265 billion yen ($2.9 billion) net loss for the fiscal year through March — joining a raft of other Japanese corporate giants, including Toyota, Toshiba and Sony, in slashing jobs and projecting annual losses.
The last time Nissan racked up an annual net loss was for the fiscal year ended March 2000, at the start of its alliance with Renault SA of France, which sent in Ghosn to rescue Nissan from the brink of collapse. Then, a bloated Nissan had lost money in seven of the previous eight years.
Ghosn, now also chief executive at Renault, said the troubles back then had been limited to Nissan but no automaker has been spared from the global economic slump.
"In 1999, we were alone. In 2009, everybody is suffering," he said.

1. Could you please define Engineering in your own words?
Engireering has part of science and part of math. It is the application of design and manufacture in products. Also Engineering is about economy.

2. What influenced you to pursue Electronics engineering, industrial engineering, computer science engineering or informatics engineering?
Well.. I love numbers, I'm not good with reading assignments. I choose Industrial Engineering because I would like to work for me and not work for the others.

3. Could you please describe the educational process required to become an Engineer?

4. What are the skills you need to be a good engineer?
I think that you need to know mathematics and you should think that you are an offerer because

you are going to work in companies.

5. What job considerations were you looking for after you completed your education?
I'm looking a job referred in oil because I'd like to serve to the country to make it better.

6. What's something of your school life that you enjoy the most?
I'm a social person and i really enjoy making new friends.

7. from your perspective, what is the most difficult part of being an engineering student?
Think the most difficult part is when you have to calculate exact things.

8. What are your plans for the future?
I'm going to study in a foreign country because I'd like to earn a PHD.

9. Point out your most personally gratifying moment in Engineering school.
Once the teacher did an unexpected exam and I was the only that did it good.

10. Why would you recommend Engineering as a career?
  I'd recommend this career to people who are good with numbers because it's a big challenge.
